You’ve completed your training, and now it’s time to take the final step toward certification. As part of your Readynez course, you have the flexibility to take your Microsoft exam from the comfort of your home or office. This convenience allows you to schedule your test for the exact moment you feel most prepared.
To ensure you can schedule and sit your exam with confidence, this guide breaks down the entire online proctored testing process from start to finish.
Your Microsoft exam fee is covered by your Readynez course package. During your course, you will receive an important email from operations@readynez.com containing your unique exam voucher code. This code will act as payment when you register for your exam session.
The great news is that almost all Microsoft certification exams are available for online proctoring. There are only a couple of exceptions to be aware of:
For a comprehensive list of all exams you can take remotely, you can visit Microsoft’s official page here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/learning/exam-list.aspx.
Before you even register, a few preparatory steps are essential for a smooth experience. First, confirm you have administrator privileges on the computer you’ll be using, as this is required to install the secure testing software.
It’s also important to note that all proctoring software, as well as support from the greeter and proctor, is conducted in English.
Complete these key actions before booking your exam:
When you’re ready to schedule your test, begin by navigating to the Microsoft exam list. Find the specific certification exam you wish to take and click the "Schedule exam" button. During the registration process, you will be given the option to take the exam with an online proctor, provided it is available in your country.
The check-in process on exam day typically takes about 15 minutes. You are allowed a 15-minute grace period after your appointment time to begin this process. To start, log in to your benefits and exam dashboard on the Microsoft Learning site.
Once connected, the greeter will verify your identity using your passport, driver’s licence, or other valid photo ID. They will also review the rules of conduct for the exam and confirm your workspace is secure. This entire portion of the check-in will be in English. You will be asked to close all other applications on your computer before the exam begins.
After the check-in is complete, your exam will launch. A proctor will monitor you remotely but will not interrupt unless there is an issue. If a technical problem occurs, the proctor will try to contact you first via the application’s chat feature. If that is unsuccessful, they will call you at the phone number you provided.
Should you experience a problem that requires followup after the exam, be sure to contact Pearson VUE support directly. You will need to provide the Incident Report number that the proctor gives you.
